Former Hole/Smashing Pumpkins bassist for NYC art exhibit

Former Hole/ Smashing Pumpkins bassist-turned-solo artist Melissa Auf Der Maur is set to display her photography work in a New York City exhibition this month.

…And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead’s Conrad Keely will also feature work in the exhibition, which launches tomorrow (October 23) at an East Village gallery. The show will also see the cover art for the upcoming …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead LP revealed.

Keely’s artwork has been featured on all Trail of Dead albums in addition to bands including The Sword. His works in blue ballpoint have been two years in the making, and he recently displayed the collection at the RIATS Fest in Brooklyn.

Melissa Auf Der Maur has previously exhibited her photography in New York, Montreal and Tokyo and her photos have been published in many magazines.

‘Out of Our Minds’, her new project which she has entirely self-produced and financed, will be released in Spring 2009.
