The rockers take break from recording new album to hit the road
Metallica have announced details of a European tour.
The band, who are in the midst of recording the follow up to 2003’s ‘St Anger’, will play various European summer festivals, including the Download festival on June 10-11.
A posting on the band's official website said that the rockers had set 2006 aside for “nothing but writing and recording”.
However, the band were led astray by the prospect of “spend(ing) our summer vacation hanging out with the coolest live music festivals on the planet”.
The dates the band will play are:
Germany,The Rock am Ring (June 3)
Germany, Rock im Park (June 4)
Holland, The Gelredome (June 8)
