The metallers join the London leg of climate gig
Metallica have announced that they are to join the London leg of Live Earth.
They are one of the final acts to be added to the line-up, which will take place at Wembley Stadium on July 7.
They join a host of artists on the day such as Beastie Boys, Bloc Party and Kasabian.
An exclusive download of their performance will be available for a minimal fee immediately after the event finishes.
All money raised will benefit four climate charities hand-selected by the band: Sierra Club, The Apollo Alliance, WWF and Rainforest Action Network.
