Metallica reveal new album details
Metal Gods prepare to release ninth studio LP
Metallica have announced that the follow up to 2003's 'St Anger' will be released this September.
The band have been recording the as-yet-untitled record in Los Angeles with producer Rick Rubin.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, drummer Lars Ulrich said: "We're just finishing up a record, we've got six weeks left and it should be out in September, that's the idea right now."
The band are expected to tour this summer, though UK dates are yet to be confirmed.
