Following stand-alone dates at Brighton's The Old Market on January 29 and Paris Maroquinerie on January 31, the band will embark on a full UK tour in March. The band will play 12 dates on the stretch, which kicks off on March 13 in Liverpool before a final show on March 28 at London's O2 Academy Brixton. They will then headline Field Day festival in London on June 7.

The band's fourth album was recorded at London's analogue Toe Rag studios. Speaking about the new album, frontman Joe Mount told NME that it is inspired by The Zombies, Sly and The Family Stone and the birth of his first child.

Discussing his newfound confidence ahead of making the album, Mount said: "It's weird, I think I've learnt the difference between being confident in an egotistical way and being confident in what you do. I was getting embarrassed and finding it difficult to sing things that I'd written without cringing."

Metronomy will play:

Brighton The Old Market (January 29)
Paris Maroquinerie (31)
Liverpool Academy (March 13)
Manchester Ritz (14)
Nottingham Rock City (17)
Leeds Academy (18)
