MGMT have covered Pink Floyd's 'Lucifer Sam' on US TV show Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

The band continued the week-long tribute on the programme to the prog rockers bringing a more electro feel to the track, which appeared on Floyd's 1967 debut album 'The Piper At The Gates At Dawn'. Scroll down and click below to watch them performing their take on the song.

Earlier this week The Shins covered 'Breathe' on the show and Foo Fighters teamed up with Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters to perform 'In The Flesh'.

Pearl Jam will wrap up the week-long tribute tonight (September 30) with their rendition of 'Mother'.

Pink Floyd began a new reissue campaign earlier this week of all 14 of their studio albums. The band marked the occasion by re-enacting the artwork for their 1976 album 'Animals', by flying a pig over Battersea Power Station.

Meanwhile, MGMT are set to release their mixtape compilation 'Late Night Tales' on Monday (October 3) which features their cover of Bauhaus' 'All We Ever Wanted Was Everything'.
