MGMT have unveiled a brand new song, entitled 'Mystery Disease'.

The duo performed the track on Friday night (April 26) at a show at Penn State University in Pennsylvania. Scroll down to see fan-shot footage, via Consequence Of Sound.

A studio version of the song is thought to feature on MGMT's third studio album, which will reportedly come out in June of this year.

The LP is the follow-up to 'Congratulations', and was recorded over the course of a year in a cabin near Buffalo, New York.

Speaking about the record, Ben Goldwasser of the band has said: "We're not trying to make music that everyone understands the first time they hear it."

Another new MGMT song called 'Alien Days' recently appeared online after being released as a cassette single produced by the band for Record Store Day on April 20.

MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden said that 'Alien Days' is about "that feeling when a parasitic alien is in your head, controlling things". 'Alien Days' was originally debuted at a live show in April 2012.
