MIA has posted lyrics for a new song on her Instagram.

She did not reveal any details about the track’s title or release date.

However, the lyrics have previously been mentioned by the British artist on social media. Last year, M.I.A. shared a clip featuring new music in which she says the first line – "I'm a parrot”.

In March, the ‘Paper Planes’ musician released a new song, ‘MIA OLA – Foreign Friend’. M.I.A. is expected to release a follow-up to 2013’s 'Matangi’, titled ‘Matahdatah’, later this year.

The singer and producer recently made controversial comments about the Black Lives Matter movement in the US, saying that the issue is "not a new thing" while urging for leading celebrities to show the same support for the migrant crisis.

“Is Beyoncé or Kendrick Lamar going to say Muslim Lives Matter?” she told the London Evening Standard. “Or Syrian Lives Matter? Or this kid in Pakistan matters? That’s a more interesting question. And you cannot ask it on a song that’s on Apple, you cannot ask it on an American TV programme, you cannot create that tag on Twitter, Michelle Obama is not going to hump you back."

Earlier this year, she teamed up with H&M, penning her new song 'Rewear It' for World Recycle Week, which takes place this week (from April 18-24). The clothing chain is encouraging customers to recycle unwanted clothes at its stores.
