Brit soul singer MICA PARIS was in mourning last night following the murder of her brother, JASON PHILLIPS.

Police have confirmed that Phillips, 33, was shot several times on February 15 in Croydon, South East London. Although details concerning the murder are scant, it is believed that police are seeking the driver of a blue VW Golf in connection with the incident.

Since then, Paris became known as the Queen of UK street soul, collaborating with Omar, Ray Hayden and Prince, who wrote the song 'If I Love You Tonite' especially for the star.

Mica's latest album was 'Black Angel' (Cooltempo/EMI), which was preceded by the her cover of U2's classic 'One'.
