Michael Jackson has postponed an appearance at a Christmas party in Japan, due to take place tomorrow (December 19).

The party, due to be held in Tokyo, has been put back until March 8.

"Meet and greet" tickets for the bash were going for £1,787 (400,000 yen), while tickets going for £895 (200,000 yen) allowed fans to get a signed portrait of the singer. Tickets costing £65 (15,000 yen) allowed people to watch dancers perform to Jackson’s songs while the singer watched from a separate area, reports the BBC NEWS.

Jackson was not set to sing at the event - instead he was to have been sitting down to dinner while guests listened to his music.
