Michael Jackson arrived in Japan yesterday (March 4) to prepare for an exclusive fan party in Tokyo later this week.

Guests have paid £1,820 ($3,500) to mingle with Jackson at the party on Thursday (March 8), and spend 30 seconds to one minute with the singer.

According to organisers it is current unclear whether Jackson will perform any songs.

Jackson is also set to host a fan art contest for fans who cannot afford VIP tickets. Three winning artists, chosen by Jackson, will have brunch with the singer and have their picture taken together.

Promoters refused to comment on how much Jackson would be paid for the appearance, reports Yahoo News.
