He makes admission as he meets fans in Tokyo

Michael Jackson has said that he would not change anything about his career so far.

He was speaking at a fan party in Tokyo on Thursday (March 8) at a nightclub in the city.

Reading from a statement he said: "I've been in the entertainment industry since I was six years old. As Charles Dickens says, `It's been the best of times, the worst of times.' But I would not change my career."

AP reports the singer said he relied on the support of his friends and family, stating: “While some have made deliberate attempts to hurt me, I take it in stride because I have a loving family, a strong faith and wonderful friends and fans who have, and continue, to support me."

As previously reported, The Jackson 5 are set to reform for a series of gigs in Las Vegas.
