Pop singer facing breach of contract action from son of King of Bahrain
Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the King of Bahrain's son, claims he paid Jackson £4.7m and built him a recording studio as an advance for two albums, a stage show and an autobiography.
He also says he gave him a Rolls Royce costing £180,000.
The Sheikh says Jackson kept the money but did not deliver the promised work.
According to Telegraph.co.uk, the Sheikh also said he was going to use the proceeds of the project to repay the money he had to advance to help Jackson out of financial diffculties.
Jackson[/a], however, says the payments were "gifts".
A trial before a [b]High Court judge is listed for today (November 17), although it is expected that the claim will be settled before a hearing begins.
