Refund details announced for Michael Jackson 02 Arena ticket-holders

Fans will receive full refunds or commemorative ticket

Concert promoter AEG Live has announced refund details for people who bought tickets to Michael Jackson's London 02 Arena shows.

Full refunds will be available through the authorised sellers that issued the tickets, including Ticketmaster, Viagogo, See or Ticketline.

Ticket-holders requiring detailed information about receiving their refunds should visit MichaelJacksonLive.com beginning tomorrow (July 1).

In addition, fans will have the option to be sent the actual tickets they would have received to attend the shows in lieu of a full refund.

The tickets were originally designed by Jackson and printed with a special lenticular process.

Images of the tickets can be viewed online at MichaelJacksonLive.com beginning tomorrow. This offer will remain valid through August 14.

"The world lost a kind soul who just happened to be the greatest entertainer the world has ever known," Randy Phillips, President & CEO of AEG Live, said in a statement.

"Since he loved his fans in life, it is incumbent upon us to treat them with the same reverence and respect after his death."

Jackson died suddenly after he suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles on Thursday (June 25).

Discraceful unashamed capitalism , masquerading as goodwill - AEG should be sending the tickets out to fans along with the refunds. Costs have well been covered with the 57mil they have held for the past 4 months and most are probably printed anyway.

reverence and respect huh? so they want to charge full ticket price (including the usual booking AND handling fees no doubt) for a ticket for a canecelled gig. i hope their insurance company knows about this. takes legalised touting to a whole new level. reverence AND respect to the company spin merchant who came up with that one.
