Michael Jackson’s 11-year-old daughter Paris Michael Katherine made a short but emotional tribute to her father at today’s (July 7) memorial at LA’s Staples Center.
Following a speech by her uncle Marlon Jackson, the child stepped forward to the mic, flanked by her aunt Janet and her other uncles.
“I just wanted to say that ever since I was born, daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just wanted to say I love him so much,” the youngster said as she burst into tears.
Paris’ 12-year-old brother Prince Michael Jr was also onstage at the time, but chose not to speak.
Her words were among the final words spoken at the memorial, which saw tributes from Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Lionel Richie, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Berry Gordy and more.
