Merchandise from Michael Jackson's O2 Arena residency goes on sale

Belt buckles, socks, hats, wallets and t-shirts from aborted shows offered to fans

Merchandise from Michael Jackson aborted London O2 Arena residency has gone on sale despite the singer's death.

According to CNN, fans were emailed by the 50-date residency's promoter AEG informing that T-shirts and collectables made for the 'This Is It' tour are up for grabs.

The email was sent to ticket holders earlier today (July 9), and is reported to say: "Early in June, Michael Jackson approved a line of official merchandise for you, his fans. As we mourn the loss of one of the greatest talents the world has ever seen, we are only beginning to feel the impact that Michael left upon us all. A variety of official merchandise commemorates this incredible talent and preserves the legacy that is Michael Jackson."

Belt buckles, socks, hats, wallets, music and various T-shirts are reportedly up for sale via Michaeljacksonmerch.com.

£14.99 for a mug! £14.99 for a pair of socks! Are AEG run by the devil himself? Certainly seems like it

Not a big fan of the man but I hope that the AEG guys that came up with this sick plan to recuperate some lost potential earnings rot in hell when they go

Could AEG stoop any fucking lower? Trying to claw back every penny that they spent on 50 shows that were never going to take place anyway from a load of desperate idiots.

We are only just beginning to feel the impact that the loss of Michael Jackson may have on our income, please buy a commemorative tea towel which MJ personally approved...

AEG/ The o2 are disgraceful is it just me or has the death of MJ been sponsored by AEG? The Memorial at the Staples Centre, the commemorative souvenir tickets at £75 a pop and now flogging the merchandise anyway it is as though MJ's untimely demise has not halted their plans in anyway shape or form and they are carrying on making money out of him with no incling of a moral compass. SCUM!
