Michael Jackson's father suspects foul play in son's death
Joe Jackson says he didn't know his son was taking prescription drugs
Joe Jackson said that he was stunned to learn that his son collapsed and was being rushed to the hospital on June 25.
"I just couldn't believe what was happening to Michael," Jackson told ABC News. "I do believe it was foul play. I do believe that."
Jackson, 79, said he did not know that his son was taking prescription drugs, which were reportedly found at his home following his death.
"I didn't know anything about the drugs," Joe Jackson said. "I didn't even know the name of them. But I do know that whatever he'd taken was to try to make him rest because he had been working so hard, and that drug was supposed to try and make him relax.
"But he didn't wake up. He never woke up. Michael died in his sleep."
Tests are still being run to determine Jackson's cause of death.
Meanwhile, Joe Jackson is expected to attend another memorial service for the pop star being held tonight (July 10) at a baseball stadium in Gary, Indiana, Jackson's hometown.
