Showbiz gossip website TMZ.com is reporting today (July 24) that Michael Jackson's death is likely to be investigated as homicide.
The singer died a month ago (June 25), with much speculation surrounding the manner of his death.
The website is now claiming that with the results of Jackson's autopsy likely to be announced next week, sources in the Los Angeles Police Department and Coroner's Office are suggesting "the cause of death will almost certainly be homicide".
TMZ.com claims that the coroner will make the decision next week, but it is alleged there is "clear evidence" that causes of death other than homicide, "including natural, accidental, accidental overdose, and suicide, have been ruled out".
The site goes on to claim that Michael Jackson's doctor has become the target of a manslaughter investigation.
TMZ.com was among the first to confirm the singer's death and has followed that news up with repeated insights into Jackson's affairs.
