Michael Jackson's sister La Toya is believed to be in possession of over 100 unreleased tracks by the self-style king of pop, according to reports.
Jackson is strongly rumoured to have recorded tracks with artists including Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am, Akon and Ne-Yo, though it is unclear whether any duplicates of songs were made. Will.i.am has confirmed that he does not own copies of the Jackson material he appeared on.
After his death in June, Jackson's manager Frank DiLeo said that the singer's family had quickly removed his belongings from his rented California mansion.
"They backed up trucks, removing everything," Billboard.com quotes DiLeo as telling Rolling Stone. "They thought Michael owned it all, so they took even the rented furniture."
DiLeo also revealed that he thinks La Toya Jackson had picked up the computer equipment containing her late brother's unreleased songs.
He added that lawyers working on behalf of Jackson's estate are trying to recover the tracks.
Some "sensational" tracks included on the hard drives were allegedly recorded in Jackson's '80s heyday, according to the manager.
