Michael Jackson to be buried on his 51st birthday, father says
The pop star will be laid to rest in Los Angeles

Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, has announced that his son will be buried at a cemetery in Los Angeles on August 29, which would have been the pop star's 51st birthday.
Joe Jackson said the plans for his son's burial had been finalised in recent days, reports Reuters. Previous media reports claimed that the singer had been buried at a private ceremony earlier this month, but these reports were never confirmed by his representatives.
A public memorial service was held at the Los Angeles Staples Center in July, but there were no confirmations that Jackson was buried at that time.
Jackson died of cardiac arrest on June 25.
