Michael Jackson’s personal physician is reportedly to be charged with manslaughter for his part in the death of the superstar in June.
Dr Conrad Murray could be arrested as soon as next week, following a search of a pharmacy in Los Angeles to gather more evidence against him.
According to Fox News, Jackson’s dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein will also face charges, and a case is still being built against him.
It is reported that investigators sought to charge Murray with a more serious crime than manslaughter, but without a motive a second degree murder charge would be unlikely to hold up in court.
Murray allegedly administered the powerful anaesthetic Propofol to Jackson just after midnight on the night he died. The drug is thought to be partly responsible for the cardiac arrest suffered by the star.
As reported yesterday, Murray made a short video for YouTube, thanking his supporters for their kind words, and saying he has been afraid to return emails or phone calls.
