Late singer becomes most honoured artist in the event's history
Michael Jackson has won four posthumous prizes at this year's American Music Awards.
The late singer was named best pop/rock male artist and best soul/R&B male artist last night (November 22) at the ceremony in Los Angeles.
His greatest hits compilation 'Number Ones' also won the best album award in the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories.
The victories made Jackson the most honoured artist in the ceremony's history with a career total of 23 accolades, reports BBC News.
His brother Jermaine Jackson accepted the gongs on his behalf and added: "He saw good in everyone and he wanted everyone to do good. He always started with love."
Jay-Z, Janet Jackson, Rihanna and Lady GaGa performed on the night as did Jennifer Lopez, who slipped over during a dance routine.
