Michael Jackson's will may be fake, according to the singer's friend David Gest.

Gest has echoed the views of some of the Jackson family, including Michael's sister Janet, by suggesting that the singer's last written testimony may have been falsified by powerful lawyers.

The promoter and former I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! contestant told The Sun: "There's a lot of questions about the will. One of the things people are wondering is how Michael was supposed to have signed that will in LA — when supposedly he was in New York that day. If he was in New York, how could he have signed it in LA?"

David's accusation is similar to one used by Janet Jackson to question the legitimacy of Michael's will, saying the 'Thriller' singer could not have possibly signed the forms in LA on the date given, June 7 2002, as he was staying with family friend Al Sharpton in New York at the time.

However, the executors of Michael Jackson's will, John Branca and John McClain, have previously said: "Any doubts about the validity of Michael's will and his selection of executors were thoroughly and completely debunked two years ago when a challenge was rejected by the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the California Court of Appeals and, finally, the California Supreme."

Other family members, including Tito and Jermaine Jackson, are siding with the lawyers on the issue, after earlier withdrawing themselves from the family's bid to remove Branca and McClain as executors of the will.

Meanwhile, Conrad Murray, the former doctor convicted of causing Michael Jackson's death, could be released by Christmas because of fears of overcrowding in US jails. Murray's lawyer has described keeping her client imprisoned as "a waste of everybody's time" and is confident he will be released early if a deal to replace the sentence with community service can be struck.
