Sharon Osbourne has been subpoenaed to testify in the Michael Jackson civil trial against AEG Live.

The former X Factor judge revealed she was served with papers in Los Angeles yesterday (April 30), demanding her attendance to serve as a witness. She told her TV show The Talk: ''I was like, what do you do [after being served]? You do your duty. Somebody asks you to come to court, you are subpoenaed and you do your duty.''

Osbourne was previously named as a potential witness after she revealed that she may have evidence to support Katherine Jackson's claims that the promoters, who were responsible for the 50-date London residency he was preparing for at the time of his death from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009, were negligent in hiring Conrad Murray to supervise the 'Thriller' star's medical care.

At the time she said: "There were certain people that worked at that company [AEG Live] that knew that Michael Jackson was not well and didn't care because it was business. And, at the end of the day, whether he performed or he didn't, they would still make money, and I've had conversations with certain people at that company who have said exactly that to me. If they would like me to go to court, the Jackson family, I will stand up and tell you who said that to me."

Meanwhile, defence lawyers asked that Randy Jackson be ejected from the courtroom yesterday (April 30) as the second day of the court case got under way, but a lawyer for Katherine Jackson – who, as the plaintiff in the case, is allowed to stay in court every day – insisted that she needed one of her children to sit with her. Judge Yvette Palazuelos ruled that one sibling can attend court each day, saying: ''He can remain but you cannot have five in the courtroom.''

Los Angeles County paramedic Richard Senneff – who was one of the medics who responded to a 911 call on the night of Michael's death in June 2009 – also testified in court. Recalling Jackson's condition, he said: ''The patient was very pale and underweight. He looked like someone who was at the end stage of a long disease process.'' He also said that Jackson showed signs of having been dead for nearly one hour and claimed that his doctor Conrad Murray was ''frantic'' and evasive when questioned about the incident, reports Reuters.
