JACKO 'INVINCIBLE' AT TOP OF US CHART

'Invincible' puts the self-styled King Of Pop back at Number One...

MICHAEL JACKSON has debuted at the top of the Billboard charts in the US with 'INVINCIBLE' shifting 366,300 copies in its first week.

The chart, for week ending (November 17), is published in full today (November 8). The figures are down from > Jackson's previous first week that saw 'HIStory: Past, Present and Future Book 1' move 391,000 in 1995.

More of a surprise is the second best selling album of the week. Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias sold just under 100,000 less copies than Jackson with his first major crossover success 'Escape'. The Backstreet Boys gain the next highest debut as their compilation 'The Hits - Chapter One' enters at Four, moving more than 197,000 copies.

Last week's Number One DMX sees his 'The Great Depression' dip to three, while perennial songstress Enya falls from Three to Five with 'A Day Without Rain'.

Other notable albums still clinging to a Top Ten place come from- LIinkin Park, at Nine with 'Hybrid Theory' and the 'God Bless America' compilation which drops to Number Seven.
