A selection of artwork by Jazz legend MILES DAVIS has opened in LONDON.
The paintings and drawings are on display at the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, and were created after he suffered a stroke in the 80s and turned to visual art as a way of remaining creative after being left unable to play trumpet.
Speaking about the exhibition, exhibition organiser Jonathan Poole told the Reuters news service: "The most interesting aspect is you can see three different periods of the last ten years of his life. As his work matured he integrated swirling abstracts and in the last two years of his life there's a very strong African influence. He transformed his world of sound into shapes and colours."
