Miles Kane announces new album title 'Don't Forget Who You Are'
Singer will release the follow up to 2011's 'The Colour And The Trap' in late spring
The singer's second solo LP will be called 'Don't Forget Who You Are' and will be released on Columbia Records. The LP was produced by The Lightning Seeds frontman Ian Broudie, who has previously worked with The Zutons and Echo And The Bunnymen. It is set for release in late spring.
Kane has been working on the follow up to 2011's 'The Colour Of The Trap' with his hero Paul Weller and insisted they had produced "some crackers" in the studio. You can watch footage of the pair performing the track 'You're Gonna Get It' together at the NME Awards 2013 by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking. Speaking about the track, Kane described it as a "great song" and added: "It does exactly what it says on the tin."
The singer recently described the new record as "big, positive and upbeat" and compared the album's sound to his old single 'Inhaler'. He added: "That was sort of the blueprint, to make this real upbeat, heavy, catchy album. That's what I've done. I can't wait for it to get out there."
The singer said he plans to release his second record "before the summer".
