Miley Cyrus covers Arctic Monkeys – listen

The US pop star performs 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?' during 'MTV Unplugged' appearance

An audio recording of Miley Cyrus covering Arctic Monkeys' 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?' has been revealed online. Listen to it above.

The performance of the song, taken from Arctic Monkeys' 2013 album 'AM', happened during Cyrus' recent appearance on MTV Unplugged.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the cover was performed during the Unplugged recording, as well as a version of Dolly Parton's 'Jolene'. "I'm trying to bring Nashville here and get everyone in the country spirit tonight," she said, opening with a three-song set in a blonde bob wig and gingham jumpsuit.

During the recording in Los Angeles, Cyrus was also joined by Madonna for a mash-up of the pop icon's hit 'Don't Tell Me' and Cyrus' own 'We Can't Stop'. Elsewhere in the eight-song set, Cyrus performed her Number One single 'Wrecking Ball' and new single 'Adore You'.
