Miley Cyrus has postponed the first two dates on the European leg of her 'Bangerz' world tour.

The singer was released from hospital last Thursday after being admitted following a sever reaction to antibiotics. As a result, tour dates in Holland and Belgium have been postponed. This means that Cyrus' show in Amsterdam (May 2) and Antwerp (May 4) will not take place on June 22 and June 20 respectively.

A statement from Cyrus' representatives confirms that the singer's doctors have banned her from travelling until she is fully recovered. "After a period of improvement, Cyrus’ symptoms have returned and doctors will not permit her to travel. This type of extreme reaction can last up to 27 days and Cyrus must remain under doctors' care at this time," it reads.

Cyrus previously cancelled dates in the US due to illnes in what is turning out to be a tumultuous tour for the singer. Earlier this year (March 17), one of the tourbuses in her entourage caught fire after a gig in New Orleans.

A few weeks later, she broke down in tears onstage while performing a cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'Landslide' in tribute to her pet dog, Floyd, who died on April 1.

The European leg of the 'Bangerz' tour will start on May 6 at London's O2 Arena.
