Missy Elliott has unveiled two new singles named 'Triple Threat' and '9th Inning', scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to listen to the tracks.

Both long-awaited comeback tracks have been produced by Timbaland and will be formally released via iTunes later today (September 18) for public purchase.

The new tracks are the first to emerge from the rapper since her 2005 'The Cookbook'.

Although, her follow-up, 'Block Party' has been in the works since 2008, the rapper has, in recent years, limited herself to occasional guest spots on singles by Katy Perry and J Cole.

It is not known whether these two new singles signal that Elliott is preparing a new studio album or if they are simply a one-off release. She is due to appear on Timbaland's new album 'Shock Value III', which is set to come out later this year.

Last month (August 14), Elliott and Timbaland denied reports that they are contributing to a posthumous album from Aaliyah.
