Modest Mouse plot summer tour

Modest Mouse have announced that they will play several dates across the US this summer.

The band will hit several major US festivals as well as Japan's Summer Sonic on August 11-12.

They'll kick things off on August 1 at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. They'll continue across the country, stopping at Baltimore, Maryland's Virgin Festival on August 4 and Lollapalooza in Chicago, Illinois on August 5.

They'll wrap things up on August 27 in Troutdale, Oregon.

This is the band's second US tour this year in support of their latest album, 'We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank', which debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard chart.

The tour dates are:
