Modest Mouse announce North American tour

Modest Mouse have announced details of a North American tour, set to kick off on August 17 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Former Smiths’ guitarist Johnny Marr will not join the band on the outing which will see stops at several festivals including San Francisco’s Outside Lands and Seattle’s Bumbershoot.

The band’s most recent album ‘We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank’ was released in 2007. They will release a 7” single entitled ‘Autumn Beds’/’Guilty Cocker Spaniels’ in celebration of Vinyl Saturday on June 20. The day is intended to bring business to independent record stores, which have been struggling in light of digital downloads.
