The band will visit Ireland in December, before hitting the UK

Modest Mouse have announced a show in Ireland.

Playing Dublin Academy on December 7, the band are expected to play songs from their 2007 album 'We Were Dead Before The Ship Sank', which featured The Cribs current guitarist and former Smiths man Johnny Marr.

The Seattle group last month released a four-track EP, 'No One's First And You're Next', which comprises of unreleased material from the 'Good News For People Who Love Bad News' and 'We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank' album sessions.

Tickets for the show will go on sale this Wednesday (September 30) but details on whether Johnny Marr will play with Isaac Brock and the band have yet to be announced, reports Hotpress.com.

The Dublin show will be the first on the band's December visit to Europe and will also include the following dates:

Glasgow O2 ABC (Demeber 10)
Minehead Butlins Holiday Centre (ATP) (11)
Manchester Ritz (13)
London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire (14)
London Electric Ballroom (15)
