Mongrel to give away album free on Saturday (March 7)

Mongrel will give away their debut album, 'Better Than Heavy', free as a physical CD with this Saturday's (March 7) Independent newspaper.

The collective was founded by Reverend And The Makers' Jon McClure and features his bandmate Joe Moskow, Babyshambles' Drew McConnell, rapper Lowkey and former Arctic Monkeys bassist Andy Nicholson. Arctic Monkeys' Matt Helders drums on the album.

The band will play UK gigs in May.

Nottingham Rescue Rooms (May 19)
Glasgow Oran Mor (May 22)
Sheffield Plug (23)
