THE JOB IS MINE!

MONICA ARNOLD, best known for the Top Five duet, 'THE BOY IS MINE' (with BRANDY), has put her recording career on hold to concentrate on the movies.

Following the success of her sophomore album, 1998's 'The Boy Is Mine', its been revealed in the latest issue of Honey Magazine that Monica is tying up filming commitments on the MTV-funded movie 'Love Song' in which she plays a lounge singer.

Monica's acting foray follows that of a number of other young urban music stars. Usher Raymond, who returns to the scene in next year with his storming single, 'Pop Ya Colla', appeared in 'The Faculty', Brandy co-starred with Jennifer Love Hewitt in 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer' while LL Cool J makes a cameo appearance in the new 'Charlie's Angels' flick.

Unfortunately, there's no news when Monica, who burst unto the scene in 1995 with the single 'Just One Of Dem Days', will start work, and release, her third solo album.
