MORE ESSENTIAL!
Let's hope it's more successful than the last one...
Morcheeba, DJ SHADOW, Zero 7 and Orb are to play the second ESSENTIAL FESTIVAL of the summer.
Last month's Essential event in Bristol led to a number of complaints after organisers claimed that bad weather had led to several stages being shut for the Rock Day of the festival.
As a consequence acts such as Reef and Therapy? did not play.
However, a new event has been announced, at the London Hackney Marshes on August 3-4. The first day features live sets from Morcheeba, DJ Shadow, Lamb, Orb, Roni Size and Goldie as part of an eight-stage festival.
On the Sunday (August 4), Asian Dub Foundation, Jools Holland, Herbaliser, Dreadzone, Blackalicious and a 'special' headliner, still to be announced will play.
Tickets are priced £37.50 per day, and are on sale now. For availability call the NME Ticketline on 0870 1 663 663. More names will be announced in the coming weeks.
The world's greatest music magazine is now available as a digital edition! For exclusive content you won't find on NME.COM, download here on your iPad/iPhone and here on your Kindle Fire or Nook.
