Ex-Smiths singer cancels two shows of residency

Morrissey has been forced to cancel two shows of his 10-day residency at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, which kicked off on Monday night (October 1).

Promoter Live Nation said there had been a ruptured water main at the venue, which meant last night's (October 2) and Thursday (October 4) night's gigs had been scrapped.

Tickets for the cancelled show can be used at either the October 8 or 9 performances, or returned for a refund.

Morrissey is set to return to the stage on Friday (October 5), and his final show takes place on October 13.

The 67-year-old venue is then scheduled to close for a complete overhaul, reports BBC News.
