Morrissey announces full UK tour

The singer will hit the road next May

Morrissey has announced a 12-date UK tour next May.

The jaunt finishes with two shows in London at Mile End's Troxy Ballroom (May 26) and the Brixton O2 Academy (May 28).

As NME.COM previously reported, Morrissey last week (December 4) announced three separate shows for May 2009, taking place at London's Royal Albert Hall and the Manchester Apollo. Tickets for these gigs, which went on sale on December 5, sold out within 15 minutes.

Morrissey's new album, 'Years Of Refusal', is scheduled to be released on February 16.

Morrissey is set to play:

Dundee Caird Hall (5)
Glasgow Barrowland (7)
Liverpool Empire (10)
Birmingham Symphony Hall (13)
Great Yarmouth Britannia Pier (15)
Cambridge Corn Exchange (16)
Hull Arena (19)
Hartlepool Borough Hall (20)
Salisbury City Hall (25)
London Mile End Troxy Ballroom (26)
London Brixton 02 Academy (28)

he is doing manchester ed2005 ya divvy, two nights at apollo. and batesy if your gonna sell oasis tickets to buy tickets for a guy that dont give a shit about his fans then your the muppet. Oasis might not care either, but atleast they put in a decent performance and their new music doesnt sound like the same, repetative shit from the 80's

Oh, sorry, he is doing Manchester, but it still doesn't explain why he isn't playing Edinburgh! Mind you, Morrissey has done great albums in the noughties and anyone who thinks he is repeating himself ...at least he repeats himself less than Oasis do!

Good too see an artist as big as Morrisey branch out into the smaller cities/towns instead of just sticking to the same 10 or 12 cities. Not huge fan of his music but all the luck and respect to him.
