Morrissey cancels London Troxy gig
Former Smiths singer pulls another show
The former Smiths man cancelled the show on doctor’s orders, it was explained in a statement, after the singer was suffering from a throat-related illness.
The news comes a day after Morrissey announced that tonight’s (May 25) show at the Salisbury City Hall was off.
In the statement his spokesperson told fans to retain their tickets and await news of rescheduled date.
Morrissey did manage to play a show at the Manchester Apollo on Friday (May 24), the day of his 50th birthday.
He recently announced details of a short UK tour for October, with the jaunt including rescheduled shows from recent cancelled gigs in Birmingham and London which were canned earlier this month.
Morrissey is still scheduled to play three shows at the London O2 Brixton Academy later this week, on May 28, 29 and 30.
