Morrissey reschedules cancelled UK gigs

London and Birmingham shows will go ahead this summer

Morrissey has rescheduled the majority of his UK tour after being forced to postpone a number of dates due to illness.

Original tickets for the dates are valid for the new run of gigs, which includes a show at London's Mile End Troxy and the singer's canned three-night stint at the capital's O2 Academy Brixton, which will now take place at the end of July.

The cancelled gig at Salisbury City Hall, originally due to take place on May 24, is yet to be rescheduled. The Birmingham Symphony Hall gig, which had been set for May 13, will now take place on October 27.

Yesterday (June 1), Morrissey blogged about the cancellations, thanking fans for their patience.

In addition to the rescheduled gigs, Morrissey plays a number of recently-announced UK shows later in the year.
