Former Smiths singer announces huge northern gig

Morrissey was reportedly interrogated by US immigration officials in Atlanta when entering the country to begin his world tour, which kicked off this week in Myrtle Beach. Morrissey has announced that he will play a gig at the Liverpool Echo Arena on November 7.

The show will be the last date of the former Smiths singer's 2009 tour.

The tour will see Morrissey play a series of rescheduled dates in July and October after he was forced to cancel UK shows due to illness earlier this year.

Tickets for the Liverpool show go on sale at 9am (BST) on Friday (June 26).
