Morrissey has announced the b-side plans for his cover of Lou Reed's 'Satellite Of Love'.

The former frontman of The Smiths will back the digital version of the release with the 'Your Arsenal' song 'You're Gonna Need Someone on Your Side', as a live version of 'Mama Lay Softly on the Riverbed' from 'Years of Refusal'.

The live version of the Lou Reed song will be available from December 2. A 12" vinyl and 7" picture disc will be released on January 28, 2014, with the 12" backed by with 'You're Gonna Need Someone on Your Side' as well as live versions of 'Vicar in a Tutu' and 'All You Need Is Me' and on the picture disc, 'You Say You Don't Love Me'.

Morrissey's version of 'Satellite Of Love' was recorded at The Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on November 25, 2011. Upon Lou Reed's death, Morrissey paid tribute to him as a major influence on his life and music. He wrote: "He has been there all of my life. He will always be pressed to my heart. Thank God for those, like Lou, who move within their own laws, otherwise imagine how dull the world would be."

The original version of 'Satellite Of Love' appeared on Reed's 1972 album 'Transformer', which was co-produced by David Bowie and Spiders From Mars' guitarist Mick Ronson.

Lou Reed passed away on October 27, aged 71.
