MOS DEF, recently voted one of the most influential artists of all time in an NME poll of musicians, will release two new albums in 2001.
"Hated By Them, Loved By Those, Respected By All' will be the rapper's second solo LP, released in the spring. Mos Def also plans to release an album called 'Black Bastard' by his funk rock outfit Jack Johnson.
The rappert will also find time to star in two movies - Civil Brand alongside Da Brat and an MTV production of Carmen Jones
