Motley Crüe's Tommy Lee grounded after 'erratic' helicopter flight
The pilot was reportedly drinking alcohol straight after the grounding
A helicopter Motley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee was a passenger in was grounded yesterday (February 1) after the pilot was reportedly piloting the vehicle "erratically".
Police officers forced the helicopter to land at Los Angeles' Van Nuys airport at 10:45am (PST) after becoming concerned that it was being flown carelessly, reports TMZ.
Apparently when officers caught up with the grounded vehicle they couldn't find the pilot for ten minutes – when they found him in an airport facility drinking vodka he had reportedly been given after landing.
The pilot was later released without charge, as was Lee.
