Motörhead post clips of current studio session

Band in Los Angeles to record new LP

Motörhead have taken to Instagram to post clips of band members in the studio working on their new album.

As revealed by their official website earlier this week, the veteran hard rock trio are currently in Los Angeles recording a follow-up to 2012’s ‘Aftershock’ with their long-time producer Cameron Webb.

The caption on one clip read: “Phil Campbell is working on guitars today in the studio for our new album! Here’s a little taste!” Scroll down to watch the snippets, which were posted intermittently throughout the week.

Motörhead were in the news last July when an unnamed German fan of the metal band was treated for a blood clot on the brain after headbanging at one of their gigs. However, doctors at the Hanover medical school, where the 50 year-old man was treated, were keen to stress that they do not believe that headbanging is a dangerous activity in general.

“We are not against headbanging,” Dr Ariyan Pirayesh Islamian told The Guardian. “The risk of injury is very, very low. But I think if [the patient] had gone to a classical concert, this would not have happened.”
