Mumford and Sons members Ben Lovett, Kevin Jones and producer Ian Grimble are to take over north London venue The Flowerpot with their clubnight and label Communion later this month.

Called Communion Presents, the trio will put on a week of free gigs at the Kentish Town venue, and also collaborate with artists on new songs set to feature on a forthcoming album.

Acts including Lissie and Lyrebirds are confirmed to play at present, and other members of Mumford and Sons are also set to play as part of the showcase.

Speaking of the project, Communion's Kevin Jones said: "We wanted to do something a bit different and more challenging than just put on a bunch of cool gigs in a venue, and this definitely seems like a challenge.

"So many amazing artists are giving up their time to Communion and we're looking forward to hearing what comes out of these recording sessions as well as seeing some fantastic bands in a tiny venue. It's going to be chaotic, but definitely worth it!"
