Mumford and Sons have released new video footage from their trip to India last year – revealing that the musicians they worked with called on an "elephant god" to help them with music sessions.

The band toured the country and recorded with Indian musicians – and they are planning to release the material some time soon.

Talking about the sessions in the video footage, banjo player Winston Marshall said of the Indian musicians: "They started by invoking the elephant god to help them to come and play music – they start every music session like that. We've been exchanging songs and translating songs. Playing a bit together and exchanging where we're from kind of vibes."
