Mumford and Sons have covered songs by Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan.

The band – who are currently at Number One in the Official UK Album Chart with their second album, 'Babel' – have covered Springsteen's 'Atlantic City' and Dylan's 'I Was Young When I Left Home' as part of an eight song session for Daytrotter.

The songs were recorded at the band's Gentlemen of the Road Stopover show in Dixon, Illinois in August at the Dixon High School Auditorium and on the band's tour bus. The session also includes covers of songs by The Stanley Brothers, Guy Clark and Roger Miller, as well as their own 'Not With Haste' from 'Babel'.

Mumford and Sons are accompanied by Nathaniel Rateliff, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, Abigail Washburn and fiddle player Ross Holmes on a number of the tracks.

The songs can be downloaded at Daytrotter.com.

The tracklisting for the Mumford and Sons Daytrotter session is:

'Not With Haste'
'Little Birdie'
'Angel Band'
'Not In Nottingham'
'Reincarnation'
'I Was Young When I Left Home'
'Partner Nobody Chose'
'Atlantic City'

In the UK, 'Babel' has become 2012's fastest-selling album. Released last week, it follows the band's 2009 debut 'Sigh No More'.

Mumford And Sons will tour the UK and Ireland in November. Entitled The Tour Of Two Halves, the jaunt will see the band splitting their shows between theatres and arenas.
