The auction for memorabilia collected from the likes of Strokes, MUSE, Ash, Starsailor and the Dandy Warhols following last week's NME CARLING AWARDS is hotting up - with the proceeds being donated to WAR CHILD.

Amongst the peculiar pieces of rock 'n' roll detritus ready for purchase on Ebay are a book of matches from Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jnr, a British Airways executive club card from Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and a bottle of champagne from garage stars Oxide & Neutrino.

Bellamy is proving popular, with the highest bid currently standing at £62 for his BA card. Bidding for Albert Hammond's box of matches currently stands at £16, while a £1 coin given to NME by 'The Office' star Ricky Gervais is currently valued at £4.20.

NME.COM will provide documentary evidence to prove the authenticity of all the items for slightly sceptical fans and let you know of the full amount raised when the auction closes tomorrow (March 12).
