Plus get ready for special announcement from band
Muse have backed the burgeoning new rave scene.
With groups including Klaxons, CSS, The Sunshine Underground and New Young Pony Club set to head around the country next year on the ShockWaves NME Awards Indie Rave Tour, the space proggers have admitted how much they enjoy the current scene.
“New rave will save me,” frontman Matt Bellamy told NME.COM. “I like the idea of going to a gig and getting a few glowsticks out. Klaxons are brilliant - I like the shift they have in their music.”
Drummer Dominic Howard also backed the band’s ability to play like a rock band but inspire the rave vibes in their audiences.
“I saw the Klaxons and loved it,” he said. “It was a weird audience because really it’s a rock gig, the music’s quite aggro, but the audience is very ravey, everyone’s got glowsticks and horns and when they were playing it wasn’t like a mosh. The whole crowd was dancing away, it was a really good vibe.”
Meanwhile Muse have revealed they are set to make a special announcement on Monday (December 4).
